Update: Everything is back online.

Our datacenter is currently working with the switch that we are on, so all services are down at the moment. We are not expecting this downtime to last very long.

Server Downtime

This morning I took the server down so that I could move our data to another server. I needed our host to transfer our IP block over, so I made a ticket at 8:29 AM. I figured this would only be a half-hour-or-so process, but I have not gotten a reply since 8:35 AM. I just thought I’d let you guys know why everything is down and I will try to get everything up as soon as possible once the host finally answers my request.

Battlefield 3 Server

Update: We have temporarily taken this server down while the issues with the BF3 server software are being fixed.

New Donations System

I’ve completed the new donations system, it has many improvements over the old system. I made a long post about it on my blog: http://www.luamilkshake.com/post/12959054063

Anyway, the system is new and hasn’t been put through rigorous testing (I did some basic testing, but I was in a rush to make it available) so if it breaks just let me know and I’ll fix your issue (I’ll throw in some extra FW cash for bug reports, too).

Unexpected Extended Downtime

FW is back up and working now

I’m really sorry about the past ~13 hours of downtime guys. I moved everything to a new box because the provider had a sale and I could save us about fifty dollars per month. This sale was right on the night that I was leaving for a trip to Texas, so I needed to do everything while not at my desktop. I now have the website and the forums up, the FortWars server should be up within an hour.

Edit: Oh, also: The IPs and everything will remain the same, I had them transferred to the new server. The only thing that you will see on your end is this downtime.

Servers Joinable Again!

There was an issue with the server’s loading page that was causing clients to crash while they were joining. I’ve set the loading page to our main website until I get around to making something pretty for it. Let me know if you are still having issues joining.

Small Update #3

Well I had a little time today so I figured I’d fix a few things.

- Voteskips are now reset on round change
- When zoomed in with assassin your mouse sensitivity automatically decreases.
- Gunners max deflection reduced to 75 (was 125)
- You can now choose what weapon you want to spawn with from the options menu
- Mute list now updates when you open the panel.
- Achievements panel no longer throws an error

If anyone else has some other things that need fixing or tweaking let me know and I’ll try to get to them soon.

The new chatbox and DAMN are on our servers now! There may be bugs. If there are, let me know and I will get the fixed as soon as possible

Edit: Oh, also! Our new banlist allows you to search and click on a player’s name! Check it out by clicking “Ban List” above!

RP Development Update 3

We’ve been working with our mapper lately. We think we know what we’re going to do now, here are some screenshots of a brief layout of some of the map’s roads:

We have been working on the gamemode too, but that has mainly been planning and backend engineering, so there’s not much to show visual-wise.

OMG! The website changed!

Indeed, I am now starting to use my new site theme as the actual site. There are a few bugs here and there, I know. I am going to be working on the site all day today, so I should have things sorted out soon.

The forum is now going to be at http://forums.darklandservers.com/. This DNS change means that some people may not be able to access the forums for a few hours. I apologize for this, and I hope that you will forgive me. (:P)
